Airway 3D Cell Systems
Large airway cells isolated in PCT media are also able to form stratified 3D cell cultures.
As seen in the photos below, rat large airway cells (passage 2) isolated in CnT-15 were seeded onto a semi-permeable membrane and the medium swtiched to CnT-35 (day zero).
After 20 days the model had developed into a multilayered epithelium, and formed a distinct line of cilia (day 20).
Such lifted cultures can also be established using human tissue and the corresponding media CnT-17/CnT-23.
