RepiGut Planar-Cell Based Human Gut Models
RepliGut® Planar is a stem cell derived in vitro drug testing system that recapitulates the human intestinal barrier physiology, organized into a polarized monolayer of differentiated epithelial cells with tight junctions. The culture model is sequentially stimulated to expand and then differentiate creating a confluent monolayer with all key cell types of the human gut epithelium. Models do not require a lengthy differentiation phase, and monolayers can be ready to use within 2-7 days. The luminal and basal surfaces of the 2D monolayer are easily accessible, enabling convenient addition and extraction of test substrate. The transwell format allows for detailed imaging of multiple conditions on a single consumable, and the commonly used microplate format can be seamlessly incorporated into laboratory workflows. RepliGut® Systems provide a rapid, high-throughput, scalable, and translatable products and services for GI related drug discovery and lead optimization studies.
